Black peppercorns from Madagascar

Harvested in the Tamatave region, these small black wrinkled grains are extremely aromatic with warm notes of brioche, of pine nuts and marshmallow, and fresh notes of sharp green fruits. With its rich essence and its very resinous nature, this black pepper is a marvellous success.

Our Madagascar black pepper (Piper nigrum) is grown in the Tamatave region, in the east of the island. At the time of the harvest, it is taken by hand, grain after grain. After being washed with pure water to remove foreign bodies, it is carefully sorted by hand into three categories (large-medium-small). In order to meet our quality requirements, Comptoir des Poivres selects only the large grains.
