Kampot pepper is undoubdtely one of the best in the world. in 2004, a Frenchman decided to unite the farmers who had a few pepper vines to restart production in the region that had almost disappeared under the Khmers rouges regime. He opt for high quality production, with numerous selective sorting sessions in order to obtain to obtain only a few exceptional corns per harvest.
Kampot pepper is a very elegant pepper with floral notes and lively spiciness which persists in mouth.
The protected geographical indication (PGI) "Poivre de Kampot" relates only to black, red and white peppers.
